funny ha-ha

watching food network – caught part of a behind the scenes for emeril’s show. haven’t watched emeril in a few years. kinda got tired of him. but they were talking about the design of his new set, so i stuck around.
they showed paula deen, another food network chef, when she was a guest on emeril’s show. she’s a southern woman and i get a kick out of watching her. she was looking for something. a mallet. emeril asked why. she said, “ah lahk ta beet mah meet wheyn eet’s thayt thi-yick.” (translation from southern-speak[tm]: i like to beat my meat when it’s that thick.) i laughed so loud i startled john, who was just starting to fall asleep, in the other room. if you’ve seen paula deen before, you know she’s a bit of an edgy southern woman anyway. so the innuendo struck me as funny.
or maybe it was the wine.

(hell, i don’t even think that was subtle enough to be innuendo.)
