writer’s group?

would any writers out there consider being part of an online writer’s group where you post your writing to a blog and the other writers in the group offer feedback via e-mail or comments? would you be willing to do it? would you require that it be a passworded blog only?

Bright winter morning,
snow covering the landscape–
silent as the tomb.

struggles

there are so many styles of writing. i see them. my eyes bounce across the page, absorbing the words and images. but when my pen hits the paper, those things melt right out of my hands and slip in between my fingers. i frantically grasp at them, but i must watch helplessly as they slither away, hissing their rebuke. i love it, the writing, but i do not know how to ride it or become one with it. i want it, but i can’t seem to find it. i call it. beg it, in fact. but the muse is fickle, bestowing on me only babbling and wailings of failure. yes, failure.

saturday fun

i’m frying up some chicken for the party – we decided to move it to later in the day and go to our friend’s house. that way we won’t be out in the weather (although it’s turned into a gorgeous day) and can kick back. the dogs and buns and beer are ready.
and guess what? it’s only saturday. we still have one more day off. woohoo!

nano, nano

okay, just completed the school paper – a claim of value argument. not sure how great the actual argument was, but it’s done. i might post it later, if i feel better about it.
in the meantime, trying to fit in some nanowrimo time too. i’m behind, but not as bad as last year. go me! heh.
had a blast saturday. got to meet raven and lyn (see blogroll for links – i’m lazy right now) and see mikey & joelle again. also met carl and ali (although i saw ali last year at joelle’s birthday party, she was busy dj’ing and i was pretty sick, so this was probably our first real meeting) – they both rock hard. everyone was great. how cool is it to meet such fantastic people through my lame site? :D
dave & buster’s was so much fun. i played one game that gave me over 200 tickets. i think i had 300 & something at the end (i don’t remember what they said – they just weigh the bucket, what a letdown. where’s the counting machine, dude, or something at least cool that has a big display so you can see the number?) thanks to everyone else throwing in their tickets, too. i couldn’t find anything cool that wasn’t a bajillion tickets, so they’re saved for next time – i was hoping to find a trinket for each of us. i’ll just have to try again. heh.
so, that’s all. we’re still going to fiesta island this weekend, but it doesn’t look like a lot of people will show. schedules filled up with other stuff. oh well. it happens.
hope ya’ll are doing ok out there!
