politics, schmolitics

I really don’t want to hear about politics, recalls, alien drivers licenses, etc., from a belligerent, young know-it-all. And when I say I’d prefer to hear no more politics talk — in the office, and mention one aspect of the conversation, do not try and mock me by saying “I thought you didn’t want to hear anymore politics, Becky” with a snotty attitude. Not the best way to get on my good side, you piss ant. It’s all in your methods, “dude.” And you need to grow up a bit before you spout off. And lay off the crack. Heh. It’s Crack Friday ™.

Man in Black

Johnny Cash died today. He was 71. I wondered how long he’d stick around after June died.
I grew up listening to his music. Where I’m from, probably 3 out of 5 radio stations are country & western. So I was intimately familiar with his music. I watched reruns of Classic Country where Cash, and the Carter Sisters, played. I think he was on Hee Haw and Austin City Limits, too. He was the only artist to be inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll, Country, and Songwriters Halls of Fame. He won 11 grammys. Sold countless albums. Sang over 1500 songs. He was a great force in country music and a very talented man. I will miss him making new music. But I’ll remember him by listening. Always listening.

Linger

This damn cold is just like the Cranberries song. I can’t get rid of it. It’s the nastiest virus I’ve had in a long time.
I forgot what else I was going to say. *sigh*

Who really knows?

Sometimes I wonder if I really have the capacity to be happy with what I have.
To never be satisfied. Is that motivation? Or just a sickness?

sorry everyone

It looks like you’ll have to change your blogrolls to misspriss.org. Sorry for any inconvenience. Love you! Mean it!

be prepared

for some wonkiness until my site finally moves over properly. But with the great help I had, I doubt that will happen. If it does, it’s probably this user’s error.
BlogMoxie moved me over. Painless. Seamless. I love it when projects are easy like that – because someone else did it. Heh! Thanks, Joelle!
